5-Day Naivasha, Nakuru & Masai Mara Safari

Depart Nairobi and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with photo stops at viewpoints overlooking the escarpment. Arrive at Lake Naivasha, a freshwater gem fringed by acacia woodlands, in time for lunch at your lodge.

In the afternoon, you may take an optional boat ride across the lake, gliding past pods of hippos and spotting abundant birdlife such as fish eagles, cormorants, and kingfishers. For those who prefer a more active experience, visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari, where giraffes, zebras, and antelopes roam freely without predators.

Lake Nakuru is renowned for its flocks of flamingos that tint the shoreline pink (seasonal), as well as resident wildlife including rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, leopards, lions, and troops of playful baboons. After an early breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most celebrated safari destination. The journey takes you through rolling highlands and across the Rift Valley floor before reaching the park in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara, where vast open plains teem with wildlife. Lions bask under acacia trees, elephants traverse the savannah in family herds, and if you’re lucky, you might spot elusive leopards draped across tree branches.

As the sun sets, return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.
