Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s most iconic safari spots, celebrated for its vibrant birdlife. Once famed for its millions of flamingos that painted the lake pink, Nakuru is now equally renowned for its rhino sanctuary, where both black and white rhinos thrive. The park also shelters lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo, and waterbucks, making it a compact but rewarding safari destination. The backdrop of the Rift Valley escarpment, coupled with the shimmering waters of the lake, makes Nakuru not just a wildlife haven but also a stunning natural setting.

Best Time to Visit: June to March (dry seasons for better game viewing).
